Even though the pool and patio were being renovated due to the last hurricane, we were warned ahead of time, and they had plenty to do otherwise. They unfortunately were also working on redoing the floors, and that was VERY noisy during the day. Would not have been an issue otherwise. Staff was very accommodating and we were allowed an hour early check in, and they were able to change our floor to a higher one. Daytona Beach Shores is off the beaten track around Daytona without all the hustle and bustle. We realize we were there on a slow week, but we were VERY happy with our unit which happened to be a 2BR/2Bath end unit taking the entire side of the building. We were able to sit and watch both the sunsets and the rising of the moon on our balconies.

My husband and I were given a friend's timeshare here as a wedding present. While I was bummed that there was no pool or beach access due to the hurricanes, I soon changed my tune. This place is great! Our room was absolutely perfect. We had the most gorgeous ocean view. The bedroom was located on the west side of the building and there was a beautiful view of the river and sunset that you could see. A small kitchen, beautiful bathroom, and wet bar rounded the room out. There were so many activities! I was so excited. We attended the hot dog/hamburger lunch one day and it was fun! We also signed up for the tie dye class and we had a ball. I was bummed we couldn't stay for more! Give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed!

Tropic Shores is a hidden gem. The staff was wonderful. They really were helpful in everything. The rooms are well maintained. The location had us viewing the best sun rises.

The room was quite comfortable. The staff was outstanding. Like most of the oceanfront condos and hotels in there area they are still recovering from last year's hurricanes - rebuilding the sea wall, installing a new patio, pool, etc., so there is construction noise until it's finished. All things considered a pretty minor inconvenience. Fortunately, access to the beach is right next door which is a lot better than many other facilities. We would definitely go back.

Been an owner since 1991. Very well managed with long time employees and board members. Clean well maintained many activities and amenities. Great location. Love it here.

This is a timeshare facility. The pool hasn't been rebuilt yet. Parking is challenging. Access to the ocean takes extra effort and walking die to construction. Toilet paper is 1 ply. Old elevator that forgets where it's going. Cute hotel suite style set up in rooms. Full kitchen with all appliances major and small. Balconies. Beautiful views.
